New Adventure
Wow! This has been a rememarkable journey. I've went through a lot of changes in the past couple of weeks. I love the way that Tomorrow's Home Business has been helping to grow in my marketing efforts using new tools, and sometimes using the tools that I have at my hand, more effectively. I have been using a few of the traffic exchanges for my work from home online business. I was recently approached in one of the traffic exchanges about joining another traffic exchange. First off, I have to say that I'm backing way off using traffic exchanges. I've also stated this in another post in my team's traffic exchange forum. So this got me to wondering if people are so wrapped up in trying to promote themselves that they don't pay attention to what they've read. It could be that the person was just busy and forgot what I had written. That's understandable. It could happen. But then too, I have it in my signature line to let people know what I stand for. It's been making wonder, if anyone really reads our signature lines, or if they even care. I think we can tell a few things about a person's signature line. To me, and I could be wrong, when people use affiliate links, they are really communicating that they hop around from one program to another waiting for the right program to come along; or they could be saying that they don't know how to promote; or it could be both. I know that if people follow my links that they should be able to learn a little about me and my thoughts on marketing on the internet. But, hey, that's okay if you don't. Anyway, I just had a thought going there that I wanted to get down in the written word. While I'm thinking about it, I think I'll go post this into another blog. ;) I know that someone will eventually read this, even if it is Google.

Hearing a Lot of Voices

Man! Oh Man! I was hearing a lot of voices this afternoon! Now, wait a minute! Before you drag out the crazy white coat for me, let me explain. I was surfing here at home. Most of the time, I usually turn off the sound, because I get tired of listening to the various websites hollering at me. You know what I mean. For example, Jennie 'somebody', welcoming me to her Power Mall; or the guy who ate ketchup in the beginning of his marketing career; or try this juice; or join our program and make thousands of dollars from some beach somewhere. And then, there is also the 'No B.S. people'. Anyway, you know what I'm talking about. Someone always has an angle. Well, it didn't take long for me to turn the voices off. I really want to work from home online, so I'm really learning to turn those voices off more and more, and listen to the people who know what their talking about. This is the main reason I decided to start blogging. I'm tired of listening to the so called gurus. Now, I'm actually doing what the 'real experts' who have no vested interest in me, except to see me succeed. I hope you will be more like me in your learning experience, in that you learn to listen to the real people who want to help you. I hope you will see my progress as something that you can do too. As you can see, I'm no expert, but I'm learning all the time.

Turn off the garbled noises of gurus. Stay on the learning track.

Making an Effort

I'm really going to make an effort to blog something everyday. I've been wanting to change for sometime of my marketing efforts. I'm really tired of messing with the traffic exchanges. And I've also done the group surfing with others, and have earned a bunch of credits by surfing in this manner. Even with team surfing, I can sit at the computer for hours at a time, and make pocket change for an income. My time is worth a whole lot more than that. Since I've really started to change, I've already noticed a difference in my search engine rankings. For example, when I googled my name 'Terry Allison', my websites were all over the first ten pages. My name is pretty heavily used on the internet. I didn't know that my name was so competitive, but anyway I've got a small goal to get most of my websites on the first three pages here in the next two weeks. So from here on out, I'm going to make a real effort to get higher rankings for all of my websites. I'm sure when I do, I'll be making more money, while I work from home.

Lots of Businesses Starting

Everywhere you turn around, there is a new business starting up. One business that started about a year ago looks to be going pretty strong, that company is Virtual Profits Acadamy. You can work it to where the company will pay for your membership fee--that is the way I worked it. If there was something new that I was going to join, I wanted someone else to pay for it. I'm not a big MLM junkie, so when I joined this program I did it for a friend.

When I do join a program like this, I'm going to use leads that I've generated. I like using a system called Veretekk to generate these leads. Good Intentions Gone Bad

I can't believe it has been a year and a half, since I last posted. I had great intentions of posting all the time, but I guess that went "south" or somewhere. Here lately I've been thinking that I really needed to get in the habit of posting. Of course, the question became, "Where do I start with my thoughts?--even that was a couple of months in the making. So today, I thought I just got to get started. Hopefully, it won't take me near as long to get back here.

It's Been Awhile

As with anything new, it takes time to get used to. I knew it had been awhile, since I last logged in here to write anything, but I didn't think that it had been over two months. Oh well. I am going to get better at contributing to this blog.

I thought I would start out by sharing my beginnings into the internet marketing world; afterall, that is what I said that I would do in my first post. And would you believe I never had any inclination to do any internet marketing? Or any marketing for that matter?

Here's what happened. I saw an advertisement on tv about government grants to start a business or to buy real estate. I've alway been intrigued about getting involved into the real estate market, so I made the registration to go to this meeting for my wife and I. When the meeting day arrived, my wife wasn't able to go, so I went by myself. I really got excited about the presentors talking how there was a lot of money available from the government in the forms of low interest loans or grants. I would have been alright, if the meeting had ended right at this point. This was definitely enough to keep me busy, but there was a second part to this meeting. The second part of this meeting was this guy who told about people making incredible incomes on the internet. There was even a story about a lady in Kansas who sold tumbleweeds to people all over the world and made lots of money. I knew this story to be true, because I used to live in Kansas and I remembered the local newspaper running a story about her and her business. To top this guys presentation, he started handing out free software to give the ins and outs of selling on Ebay. I thought this would be great, so I signed us up for a website. By getting a website, this allowed us to go to a follow-up meeting to learn more about how to make money and do business on the internet. At this follow-up meeting, I got "cold feet" and told my wife that I really didn't think that we could afford to do all the things that this merchant wanted us to do to do business on the internet with getting a merchant account and everything. We left the meeting residing that we had made the right choice. A couple of weeks went by, and as you may have guessed, we received a follow-up call from a salesperson. We let him talk us into a training course to do business on the internet. Oh boy!!! We are going to make lots of money now! That's what we thought anyway. Looking at hindsight, the training was very outdated, but at the time we didn't know that because we didn't know anything about marketing on the internet. In our first business, we had good intentions and good products. We were going to market children's educational toys. Needless to say, we spent a lot of money just to keep our website up and running. After a year of determination and stubbornness, we finally closed down the website. But I was not through with internet marketing.

On my next post, I will tell what happened on my next leg of the journey toward my automated marketing business. All for now.

Starting a New Adventure in Blogging

I just started a new blog for my new maketing system--Predator Marketing System. I've always thought about creating a blog. In fact, I've had a few friends that insisted that I start one. Well, here it is.
